When purchasing a season pass, you're buying something that gives you access to content that will be released periodically throughout one season (typically this is a period of about a year). If you purchased the season pass at the start of the season, you won't have access to any DLC content unless it's immediately available for purchase already. However, as the year progresses and more content is released, you'll be able to directly download these DLCs without having to purchase them.
