Code Vein's story has four different endings. Three of these endings are distinguishably different while the last one is a variation of the "Dweller in the Dark" ending. In order to achieve the "Determiner of Fate" achievement, the player needs to view all four different endings. Here's how to accomplish each ending:
- Heirs
- To obtain this ending, the player should not restore the vestiges of any of the successors. Ultimately, the goal is to leave every successor petrified after each of the cutscenes that play post boss fight.
- To Eternity
- To obtain this ending, the player will need to save at least one successor. To do this, they'll need to restore all of the vestiges of that successor before facing them in battle. After viewing the post boss fight cutscene, the player should then interact with the petrified version of the successor. However, it is important that the player does not do this for every single successor, as that's the prerequisite for the "Dweller in the Dark" ending.
- Dweller in the Dark
- To obtain this ending, the player will need to save every single successor they fight. In order to do this, they'll need to restore the vestiges of every successor before their boss fight. After viewing the post boss fight cutscene, the player will need to interact with the petrified version of each successor.
- Dweller in the Dark (Alternate)
- This ending has the same prerequisites as the regular Dweller in the Dark ending, with one simple difference: restore all of the Eos vestiges before facing the last boss. These vestiges are found outside the crypts of each successor after their battle, as well as in the Provisional Government Center.
Please note:
- If you are unable to interact with the petrified version of the successor, then that means that their memories weren't completely restored before the boss fight.
- If you beat the game and accomplish the "Dweller in the Dark" ending without restoring all of the Eos vestiges, you can load your last save before facing the final boss, gather the vestiges and restore them before engaging the final boss again in order to achieve the alternate ending.
