It has been brought to our attention that users who pre-purchased the digital Naruto to Boruto: Shinobi Strikers game (PS4) and had previously played the demo are currently stuck with the demo client and unable to connect to the game servers. This issue has already been escalated to our external partners at Sony for further investigation and resolution.
Some users who reported this issue have mentioned that the following workaround(s) resolved their issue (and may work to resolve yours as well if you are encountering this):
- Perform a "License Restore" on the PSN Account that is tied to the pre-purchase of Naruto to Boruto: Shinobi Strikers Title (Settings> Account Management> Restore Licenses). Some users mentioned that they needed to make sure and disable all primary accounts on their PS4 system once for this process to work (Settings> Account Management> Activate as Primary PS4>Disable). After disabling the accounts not tied to this product and restoring your licenses, please re-activate your account(s) and boot the game.
- From this point, you will either connect to the servers or the game will inform you that you did not purchase the game. If you receive the latter error message, please follow the link to the PSN store page, back out from the store page, then reboot the game.
